The creativity and thoughtfulness of children amazes me. Yesterday, two little girls came up to me and asked if I would like to hear their “Peace Rock Promise”. I was skeptically impressed. When I got home, I did an Internet search. Surely they had heard this somewhere before. I came up empty. MIND BLOWN BY 2nd GRADERS. This graphic is for them. ☮

…and The Most Creative Response to Finding a Peace Rock goes to..

A 2nd grade student who found one of my rocks hidden on the playground this summer.

When I first arrived at school, she showed me the rock as she found it.

About 15 minutes later she brought it back to me to show me how she had given it arms, legs and eyes. (Photo 1)

A minute after that, a nose and smile. (Photo 2)

Thirty seconds later, a mane of hair and she had named it “Abby” after a friend.
